Info

A number of years ago I left my corporate job to start my own business, specifically an online retail store. I had worked at one of the largest paid-search engines and had seen plenty of mom & pops making a go of it with their Internet stores. Over time, I figured if they could do it so could I (getting fed up with the corporate world helped too). And I did. Shortly after leaving (and a small vacation), I opened up my first online retail store and low and behold, it worked (and have since started a couple of other businesses).

Of course it wasn’t that simple. I had to learn and expand my coding abilities along with my general design aesthetics. I also had to figure out how to code…at least a little bit in a language totally foreign to me…rtml (I was using a Yahoo! store for my shopping cart and store engine). Add to that I had to line-up a supplier and get all of my business paperwork in order. Added together, it seems like a daunting task. But it’s not. I give you a template to get started and if you follow that you will be online in no time. In addition, there will be plenty of articles, tips and tricks to keep you interested once you have started.
